Apple Health

What RallyPath reads from Health, and what it never does

Workouts and heart rate, read-only, from your phone. RallyPath never writes, never deletes, and never sends anything anywhere.

About 1 minute

RallyPath asks Apple Health for two things: your Workouts (only the ones typed Badminton, from the last 6 months) and the Heart Rate samples recorded during those workouts. From them it shows duration, active and total calories, average and maximum heart rate on the session you attach them to.

That is the whole list. RallyPath cannot see your steps, sleep, weight, medical records or anything else in Health, because it never asks for them.

Good to know

Does RallyPath write to Apple Health?
No. It asks for read access only. It cannot add, edit or delete a workout, and the iOS access sheet will never offer it a "write" switch.
Where does the workout data go?
It stays on your phone, inside RallyPath's own storage, attached to the session. There is no account and no server. Your phone's own iCloud backup may include it, depending on your Apple settings.
Can I take the permission away?
Any time, in the Health app under Sharing, then Apps, then RallyPath. Sessions you already attached keep their numbers; new imports stop working until you turn it back on.
